sexuality: Naminé doesn’t think of people like that, but if she did, she would be straight and have one of those cute little crushes on a guy. You know, that kind where they get all flustery and can’t talk and want to hide behind something. Once she finds out she’s related to Cloud, it’ll likely be him she hides behind.
crew position: Powder monkey, she got bullied into it.
appearance: Being of a Norwegian decent, Naminé is pale, blue-eyed, and blonde-haired. She holds no accent, simply because she never actually learned any Norwegian and was around English-speaking Americans at near constant for her schooling. She is petite, light, and fragile appearing no matter what she may be doing. She stands at a flat 5’, and weights barely 100 pounds if even that. She’s something that could very easily be snapped in half if one wished for it, like fine china that you just put in a cabinet to look at, and never use. The color white is often affiliated with the “witch,” and makes her look even more fragile than what she actually is, despite how much it is true. Her eyes are an odd pale blue, nearly lavender mixed with a soft blue. Her hair is a pale gold, bangs hanging down to just intercept her eyes while the rest of it falls to just past her shoulder blades. Her entire bone structure appears delicate under her pale skin, made to seem paler when she wears the variants of whites that she does.

But when she found out about Kai’s dislike for girls, she ditched the dresses and the skirts and girly ballet-looking sandals for more boyish clothes. She’s snagged simple boots, generally black, with khaki pants or simple jeans or slacks that she finds. Usually they end up being too big on her, even if she gets the smallest size. With this as a problem, she has a belt with it often tied to the tightest to keep the pants up. She opts for layers when it comes to disguising herself, although it makes her slower, and will have a sleeveless girl’s shirt, a boy’s t-shirt, and a jacket of any variant on. A vest or a long-sleeved shirt can easily replace the jacket. She constantly will tie her hair up in a bun and stuff it under the paperboy hat she has that accompanies her everywhere now. All in all, she makes for a convincing cute, young boy. Except for her voice, which is soft and light. That might be her downfall, so she’ll be keeping quiet whenever around Kai.

No matter what guise she is in, girly or boyish, Naminé has an ‘x’ mark scar over where her heart should be. It is raggedy but thin, like someone sliced open slowly and with great expertise.
personality: Caring, quiet, and somewhat depressive, Naminé’s sheltered life kept her from experiencing a lot of joys of childhood. While being educated and smart, Naminé is also often sad appearing, and usually her smiles have hints of sadness in them. Usually. Occasionally, the girl can have cheerful looks that are actually happy or excited, but after years of being ignored by her parents and her time with the Organization have made her melancholic, almost. While not being exposed to many people except her teachers, parents, and the Organization, the young Nobody was made into somewhat of an introverted girl, generally keeping to herself even now. She knows she’s weak, which makes her ideals of herself worse. She is not exactly self-confident, and never actually has been. If she gets the chance, she will hide behind something/someone bigger than her and stay out of the situation. She can be happy, however, and is actually a caring person even though she might not show it with how she’s been used. Speaking of that, she lets other people use her, despite how it’s against her will. Though she’s trying much harder to stand up for herself, it’s a little nigh impossible without someone proper for her to learn off of.
abilities/weaponry: Naminé’s main, and really only, ability is that of memories. She can alter them, although not completely destroy them, implanting different memories into one’s heart. This must be constantly done over a long period of time, otherwise the chain is broken and the memories return to normal. Drawing pictures is the process, which means that Naminé must also have a decent supply of sketchbook paper. She can also return the memories to normal after she’s altered them, but this process may take far longer than what the original one does. Other than this, Naminé has no real abilities. She can draw fairly well, and has learned how to run quickly from pursuers, but these aren’t useful things when fighting. She hopes to learn some things on the Hajimaru, which is the only reason why she applied for that ship and not another; the man seemed capable and intimidating, he might’ve had a slightly nicer person who would teach her something.
weaknesses: Everything is a weakness about the girl. She is fragile, small, delicate, not at all strong, and although she is intelligent, she lets herself get used for everything. She doesn’t know a single thing about fighting, or standing up for herself, and if someone were to look down upon her or yell down to her, she would bow her head and accept it. She has no self-confidence, and fears that she won’t be able to do anything to help anyone after she has been with the Organization for so long. Blame can easily be pushed onto her and the girl will take the fall, feeling the guilt and pain for all the trouble that wasn’t her own. If put into a situation, she will either accept the problem and get herself into trouble, or cower behind an object or another person to let them or other people handle it. She really needs to learn how to stand up for herself; otherwise she is doomed on Kai’s ship. She also doesn’t really remember much of her past that might’ve been traumatizing, her mind’s way of keeping her safe. She is, however, plagued with nightmares on most nights. Her ability of memory altering can only be done on those with hearts, otherwise she has no chance.

history: Born in a large city of Norway, Naminé Marie Aune is the daughter of the country’s section of Powers, her father a president of an esteemed oiling company while her mother was the daughter of a rivaling company that her father had destroyed. He and her mother never spent time with her, let alone each other, and Naminé—while under her tutors, maids, and nannies constant care—knew of every affair that they happened to of had. She even knew that her father had another child once before her, but he never spoke of him except when he spoke of her being far better than he. Some whore’s trash or something. Naminé never enjoyed this side of her father, or her father period, and once she turned thirteen, disappeared from the home when she sent her maids to go and get her lunch. All of them, saying she wanted it perfectly done. She left a note apologizing to them, and only them. Her parents were never mentioned in the note, no matter how guilty she had felt about it.

The problem was that once she got out there in the world and away from the Powers that were, Naminé was taken away by a group of men that had known whose daughter she was, being part of the rebelling People. She doesn’t actually remember these moments except in nightmares, and what these show her doesn’t exactly give her the fondest of moments. But one day, she awakened, feeling hollow, bruised, and sore, a cut in the shape of an X across her heart. However, the feeling where her heart should’ve been was cold, and this made her panic. It didn’t take her too long to be noticed by the Organization XIII, as they soon came across her when she’d been trying to rewrite her memories, but found that she couldn’t do it in the slightest. They began to use her to their plans, and at first she fought back, but for the next two years after her discovery; Naminé was like their little plaything to experiment with. She wasn’t like them, it seemed, but they couldn’t figure out how she was different. She was put under the “care” of Marluxia, but the only thing he really cared about was keeping her alive to further his plans, which meant food, drink, and sketchbook paper.

One day, when the entire Organization seemed to be distracted when Roxas disappeared, Naminé fled, this time leaving no note of apologies for her ‘nannies.’ She fled with her only possessions, and made her way to the coast. She stowed away on one ship, observing the people and staying hidden. She hadn’t been around other people in so long, it was kind of frightening. Once they reached port, Naminé stayed there, earning a job with her drawings… until recently applying for the Hajimaru. She had heard that he was a tough man, that Kai, and hoped she could at least hide amongst them despite his hate of girls. With that in mind, she wisely left Nam on her application, as well as her gender. She decided if she were to hide from the Organization, it should be in a place where they wouldn’t expect to find her. She didn’t realize, either, that her half-brother and another member of the Organization happened to be on the ship, either. This would end with interesting results.
